Immersion Studio
Immersive technologies are prohibited expensive, and studies have shown that under-represented minority populations have limited access. The Immersion Studio provides a relaxing environment for our patrons to try on new immersive technology with guidance from our courteous staff and student workers. These include augmented reality, virtual reality, spatial computing, and interactive multimedia. The space permits students, faculty, and staff to use and make extended reality environments through a comprehensive array of free to use hardware, software, equipment, and VR titles.
The vision of the Immersion Studio is to create inspiring interactive and immersive installations. To leverage technology and its power to all demographics. To mentor students about being a well-versed digital citizen and expose them to possible fields of employment and enjoyment.
